I enjoyed the Amish couple Orley and Lois Troyer, and the faith they share with everyone, and if ever a couple needed it, well, the author gives us a husband and wife that seem to be on the verge of divorce。We see a couple who end up biting off more than they can chew financially, but they look to all including family, to be living the American dream。 Deep down, they are floundering, and we are along to see how their relationship seems to fall apart before our eyes。I loved the name of the antiqu I enjoyed the Amish couple Orley and Lois Troyer, and the faith they share with everyone, and if ever a couple needed it, well, the author gives us a husband and wife that seem to be on the verge of divorce。We see a couple who end up biting off more than they can chew financially, but they look to all including family, to be living the American dream。 Deep down, they are floundering, and we are along to see how their relationship seems to fall apart before our eyes。I loved the name of the antique shop that the Troyer's own, "Memory Keepers", how appropriate, and we see how this shop plays a part in the stroy! Will this Amish couple be able to help this other non-amish pair? More important will this couple be able to find the faith they once had, answers are forthcoming! Also I love that this read has an epilogue!I received this book through the Publisher Barbour, and was not required to give a positive review。 。。。more

This story takes place in Walnut Creek, OH where an Amish couple who own an antique store are on a mission to tell others about faith in Jesus Christ。 A childless English couple who both have busy careers buy a house in the town to try to get away from the chaos of city living。 When these two couples meet all of them learn some new things about life and relationships。 This is a fun story and I enjoyed it thoroughly。 I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book that I received from NetGalley。 This story takes place in Walnut Creek, OH where an Amish couple who own an antique store are on a mission to tell others about faith in Jesus Christ。 A childless English couple who both have busy careers buy a house in the town to try to get away from the chaos of city living。 When these two couples meet all of them learn some new things about life and relationships。 This is a fun story and I enjoyed it thoroughly。 I have voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book that I received from NetGalley。 All views expressed are only my honest opinion 。。。more

I think this might be one of my favorite stories by Ms。 Brunstetter。 Though it took me a bit to warm up to Jeff and Rhonda I found myself doing so as I got to know them a little more。 I enjoyed how the sweet older couple, Orley and Lois, befriended and mentored Jeff and Rhonda through some of their marital and spiritual issues。 Overall a satisfying and inspiring story。 I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing but was under no obligation to post a review。 These are my I think this might be one of my favorite stories by Ms。 Brunstetter。 Though it took me a bit to warm up to Jeff and Rhonda I found myself doing so as I got to know them a little more。 I enjoyed how the sweet older couple, Orley and Lois, befriended and mentored Jeff and Rhonda through some of their marital and spiritual issues。 Overall a satisfying and inspiring story。 I received a complimentary copy of this book from Barbour Publishing but was under no obligation to post a review。 These are my own thoughts and opinions。 。。。more

Reading through Rhonda and Jeff's many struggles in their marriage, work and home life was difficult for me。 The redeeming part comes later as they learn to trust God。 I did enjoy the friendship Jeff has with Orley, an older Amish man who runs an antique store in their town。 I would love to see more of Orley and Lois in the next book of this series。 Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review。 All opinions are my own。 Reading through Rhonda and Jeff's many struggles in their marriage, work and home life was difficult for me。 The redeeming part comes later as they learn to trust God。 I did enjoy the friendship Jeff has with Orley, an older Amish man who runs an antique store in their town。 I would love to see more of Orley and Lois in the next book of this series。 Thank you Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review。 All opinions are my own。 。。。more

The Walnut Creek Wish is the first book in Wanda Brunstetter's series, Creektown Discoveries。 I always look forward to reading one of her books and was not disappointed with this one。 I like Brunstetter's style of writing, (although occasionally in this story conversations seemed a bit forced and stilted) and her honest and redemptive approach to realistic struggles that her characters encounter。 The characters are realistic with depth to their emotions, strengths, and foibles, yes, even their ' The Walnut Creek Wish is the first book in Wanda Brunstetter's series, Creektown Discoveries。 I always look forward to reading one of her books and was not disappointed with this one。 I like Brunstetter's style of writing, (although occasionally in this story conversations seemed a bit forced and stilted) and her honest and redemptive approach to realistic struggles that her characters encounter。 The characters are realistic with depth to their emotions, strengths, and foibles, yes, even their 'whininess'! Readers can easily connect with them。 This story focused on an Englisch couple who bought a home in Amish country and their growing relationship with the Amish couple who owned an antique store。 Underneath the overarching theme of finding peace in one's life amidst the stress of very busy lives, is also the secondary issue of being childless。 I like how the author made these issues realistic and relatable。 I look forward to reading more in this new series。 I read a complimentary copy of the ebook through NetGalley and was not required to write a review。 The opinions are my own。 。。。more

I wish I could say I absolutely love this book。 I even wish I could say I liked this book。 But, honestly, this book was not very good。 The storyline itself was a great idea。 A husband and wife are struggling and are bogged down by financial problems and work stresses。 They try to find a solution for their problems and make an attempt to save their marriage。 Good meaning family and friends join in and try to give them advice。 But the conversation was stilted and the characters came across as whin I wish I could say I absolutely love this book。 I even wish I could say I liked this book。 But, honestly, this book was not very good。 The storyline itself was a great idea。 A husband and wife are struggling and are bogged down by financial problems and work stresses。 They try to find a solution for their problems and make an attempt to save their marriage。 Good meaning family and friends join in and try to give them advice。 But the conversation was stilted and the characters came across as whiny and complaining。 Wanda Brunstetter has always been one of my favorite authors but I feel like she is not giving enough thought and time to her stories。 They aren't fleshed out and seem to be written in a hurry just to get a book out。 If you are new to brunstead or books I would advise going back and reading her early writings。 This book is just not up to her standards。 I voluntarily received a copy of this book from NetGalley。 。。。more
